On Wednesday July 14th we will be joining the Contemporary Art Director at Phillips De Pury auction house for an indepth learning experience. We will be taken on a tour of the auction house. Where we will learn the process of buying and selling art by offering them up for bid.

Learn the different terminologies:

Appraisal, auction block, bidding, buyers premium, commission, consignee, consignor, dummy bid, hammer price, lots, minimum bid, opening bid, and lots more. There will be a $30.00 charge for this event. Please bring cash or check made out to Collector Circle on the day of the event.

Future adventures will be:
July 21st we will be going to the Lower East Side where much of our ancestry started.This area has become the new growing art district. We will meet with several Directors and Owners of the galleries for a comprehensive discussion of the artists they represent, get an inside view on narrative paintings, sculpture, photography, drawings and much more. See how an installation project is put together.

July 28th we will meet in Chelsea where we will be introduced to new movements in contemporary art.

Here we will get acquainted with Directors who will take us on a mission of how they support and develop the careers of their artists working in all media while exploring the avant-garde to advance their personal vision.

We will be impressed by the caliber of artists they promote.
